In May 2010 Walter Cardew Group performed at "Cornelius Cardew and the Freedom of Listening", an extended exhibition and series of concerts in Porto, Portugal. A duo from the group played at the same event held in Stuttgart in November 2009. Walter Cardew Group have also performed recently in London venues such as Goldsmiths College, The Drawing Room Gallery, The George Tavern, St Mary-at-Hill Church, St Johns Waterloo, Charlton House; as well as making numerous broadcasts on Resonance 104FM. Walter Cardew gained his first degree from Goldsmiths College, a post-graduate diploma from Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and a Master of Music in Composition from Goldsmiths in 2003 (studying with Roger Redgate). His work was included in the Park Lane Group composer's forum at the South Bank Centre in January 2001 and he was joint second prize-winner in the 2002 AcoustICA composition competition. From 1994 - 2009 he was part of Walter & Sabrina with Stephen Moore, a partnership that made 10 releases on Danny Dark Records.Click here for forthcoming events
